AHS Membership Information Page

Interested gardeners and flower enthusiasts are invited to join the American Hemerocallis Society (AHS). Individual dues are $25.00 per year or $70.00 for three years. Dual membership (two persons, one set of publications) is $30.00 for one year and $83.00 for three years. Life membership is $500.00; Dual Life Membership, two individuals living as a family unit at the same address, one set of publications ($750.00). Youth membership - through calendar year of 18th birthday, $10.00.

A year's subscription (four issues) to the Daylily Journal is included with each membership. All memberships are on the calendar year (January - December). Membership applications received for the current year before September 30 will receive all the publications for the current year. Renewal notices are sent in late Oct and early Nov. Memberships received after September 30 will be credited to the following year unless otherwise advised; membership will begin as soon as the application is processed, but publications will not begin arriving until the calendar year begins.

Foreign members please include $10.00 US additional per year to supplement cost of mailing.

An Illustrated Guide to Daylilies

This AHS publication is an excellent source of information for all daylily growers. Greatly expanded from Daylilies: the Beginner's Handbook, which it replaced. This 112-page book contains many excellent color photos and illustrations and clearly explains what growing daylilies is all about. Sections have been added to address unusual forms, polytepals, labeling, landscaping with daylilies, daylily flower arrangements, general care and pests and diseases. This book will answer most of your questions about this great perennial. Also included is an original poem written by AHS member, Rod McKuen, entitled Daylily Blossoms.
