Please note: CONVENTION FEES REFLECT THE LARGE INCREASE IN FUEL COSTS.

Early registration fee $245.00 (postmarked by 3/15/2009).
Late registration fee $295.00 (postmarked after 3/15/2009).
Youth registration fee $159.00 (postmarked by 3/15/2009).

Pre-registration is required.

Registration Fee includes motor coach tours of convention gardens and banquet dinners  on Friday and Saturday evenings.

Cancellations received by 3/1/2009 will receive a full refund. Partial refund (50%) paid after convention will be given for cancellations received by 4/1/2009. Sorry, no refunds will be given for cancellations after 5/1/2009. Registrants unable to attend may swap their registration with others.

Groups who wish to use their own coaches for garden tours must contact
BOB WETTON 386-822-9788 E-mail bwetton@cfl.rr.com or by mail at 1314 Trail by the lake, DeLand, FL 32724-1024. These  arrangements must be made by 3/1/2009.

You are responsible for making your own hotel reservations. The Lake Mary Marriott Hotel must receive your booking by 3/20/2009 to guarantee the discount rate of $111.00 for single room with one occupant or $121.00 for a single room double occupancy or $131.00 per room for 3 occupants and so on.

2009 Region 4 Regional Meeting

BADS is pleased to host the 2009 Regional.  We are currently in the planning stages, so check the BADS web site regularly for updates.  The bus trip on Saturday will visit 4 of our local hybridizer's gardens:

Mystic Meadows Daylily Farm, Pam Hoffman

The bus plants will be donated by the above hybridizers, so everyone will
go home with a daylily from a BADS hybridizer.

Heads Up all Region 4 Hybridizers!

2009 Stanley Saxton Seedling Award Bed and 2009 Guest Plants

For the 2009 Region 4 Meeting, take advantage of this opportunity
to showcase some of your introductions.
Your daylilies will be viewed by the meeting attendees as the plants
will be prominently displayed and labeled in the tour gardens.
Please contact Pam Hoffman if you are willing to guest your plants for the 2009
evernt, plants should be sent in the spring of 2008.

In addition, at this Region 4 Meeting, the Stanley Saxton Seedling Award will be
awarded to the best seedling hybridized in region 4.  Purchased seeds and
seedlings are not eligible.  Region 4 Hybridizers may submit up to a
maximum of three (3) unregistered seedling entries.  At least 3 fans
of each seedling are desired, but no more than the maximum of 5 fans
for each is allowed.  These plants will be grown at one of the tour gardens in
a specified bed and during the bus tours, all attendees will have the opportunity
to view and vote for the best overall seedling.  The award will be presented
to the winner at the Saturday evening banquet.

Seedling entries should be clearly labeled, plus height and color
information should be included.  Seedling entries should be sent next spring to:

AHS Region 8 Summer Meeting

 

Date: July 10–12, 2009

Place: Langley, BC Canada

Hotel headquarters: The Coast Hotel and Convention Center, Langley, BC. Ph: 604-530-1500. This is a new hotel since we last hosted the regional meeting, and is an extremely high-rated, clean and modern establishment. Our meeting room will be all glass overlooking the City of Langley.

AHS Region 11 Summer Meeting

July 3-5, 2009

The Flint Hills Daylily Society of Manhattan, Kansas wishes to invite you to the 2009 Summer Meeting, "Prairie Promenade". This is the first Regional Meeting that the Flint Hills club is hosting in our many years of existence.

We will have John Shooter as our guest speaker from Marietta Gardens, Marietta, North Carolina. They have wonderful introductions and are great people as well. Many in our region grow their cultivars and they do well.

We will have seven of our area gardens on tour. Three of them are AHS Display Gardens, Steve and Maureen Thien’s "Mateo Tipi Gardens", Irene and Rick Johnson’s "Prairie Wind Gardens", Jane and Steve Amy’s "The Amy Garden" as well as four other wonderful gardens of Ann Redmon, Mardi Finn, Pat Freeman, and Bernadette and Joe Schmidt.

We will have a great live auction (including several Shooter introductions), bag raffles and silent auction as well. We expect to have some surprises for all and a fun weekend!
Plan to attend and celebrate with us. More details and registration information will be appearing soon.
